NOS Science Seminars

NOAA’s National Ocean Service (NOS) Science Seminar Series is designed to inform and stimulate discussion on the latest research and management strategies that support the priorities of NOS and NOAA. Seminar speakers come not only from within the NOAA community, but also from other federal and state agencies, academia, nongovernmental organizations, and industry.

NOS Science Seminars are held at the NOAA Silver Spring campus, and are available via webcast for remote viewers. Instructions on how to participate can be found in the seminar announcement, at the OneNOAA Science Seminar website, or contact the NOS science seminar coordinators at David.Moe.Nelson@noaa.gov and Varis.Ransi@noaa.gov.

Announcements of upcoming NOAA seminars are sent via email weekly to NOAA staff and others who are interested; the schedule for most NOAA seminars can be viewed online at the OneNOAA Science Seminar website. To sign up to receive the weekly NOAA science seminar list, visit this page and add your email address.

Email David.Moe.Nelson@noaa.gov and Varis.Ransi@noaa.gov to arrange a seminar, to inquire about hosting a seminar for off-campus NOAA offices, or to obtain presentations for some of the past seminars.
