June is National Ocean Month. This important observance reminds us all to take time to appreciate our ocean and its countless resources. As the National Ocean Service, Ocean Month provides us with a unique opportunity to amplify awareness about the ocean’s importance and highlight our efforts to safeguard and sustain this critical ecosystem.
As in past years, we are celebrating National Ocean Month on our website and social media platforms. Throughout June, we will share engaging content, including captivating videos, stunning imagery, and fascinating trivia about our ocean and coasts. Each week, we’ll explore a different theme:
June 2-8: Our Blue Economy
June 9-15: The Ocean is for Everyone
June 16-22: Conserve, Restore, and Connect to Coastal and Marine Ecosystems
June 23-30: Coastal Resilience
Join the celebration by visiting our NOS National Ocean Month page and following us on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Keep an eye out for #OceanMonthNOAA content and participate in the festivities by sharing it with others.
