The NOS Science Seminar series is designed to inform and stimulate discussion on the latest research and management strategies that support the mission of NOS. Seminar speakers come not only from within the NOAA community, but we also host speakers from other federal and state agencies, academia, nongovernmental organizations, and industry.
NOS Science Seminars are typically held at the NOAA Silver Spring campus but are often available via video or web-cast to remote viewers. When available remotely, instructions on how to participate can be found in the seminar announcement.
Seminar announcements of upcoming NOS seminars as well as other seminars available in the Silver Spring campus are sent periodically to NOS staff via email. Upcoming seminars can also be found in a public Google calendar available online.
To arrange a seminar contact Felix Martinez (301-713-3338 x153). NOS off-campus offices interested in hosting a seminar from their locations that would be broadcasted in Silver Spring can do so depending on the availability of our seminar conference room. Please check with Felix Martinez for availability. Presentations and abstracts for some of past seminars are available by request.
