The Future: Sustaining a National Ocean Policy| |
This was the seventh and final Ocean Future constituent roundtable hosted by Dr. Richard Spinrad, Assistant Administrator, NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS). The roundtable focused on sustaining a national ocean policy and included discussion on NOSs strategic vision as a Global Leader in the Integrated Management of the Ocean. NOS programs cover a broad range of scientific, technical and management activities. NOS is also leading efforts in the development of ocean observation and modeling systems, and in educating the public about the importance of these activities.
Attendees (listed alphabetically) NOAA Ocean Council Kurt Schnebele, National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service The Special Projects Office, a division of the Management and Budget Office (MBO) of NOAAs National Ocean Service (NOS) provides expertise, products and services that help NOS accomplish its mission to maintain safe and healthy coastal ecosystems and to provide for safe marine navigation for the nation. |
