World Hydrography Day 2010
Each year on June 21, the International Hydrographic Organization and its member states recognize World Hydrography Day. This day recognizes the need to increase global awareness of the importance of hydrography to the safety of global marine transportation and the protection of the environment.
Protecting Gulf Resources
With multiple sanctuaries located in the Gulf of Mexico region, the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries has been on hand to support NOAA's oil spill response efforts since the first days following the Deepwater Horizon incident.
