Outreach Activities

NOS roundtable issue forums, town hall style meetings, and outreach materials are designed to increase public awareness and understanding of NOS's integrated ocean management activities. Each item below links to a page that further discusses the activity.

NOS Roundtable Issue Forums

This series of six meetings will be held between January 2005 and September 2005 and will focus on NOS’s role in executing the U.S. Ocean Action Plan and related issues addressed by the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy in its Final Report.

Town Hall Style Meetings

These meetings coincide with national ocean-related conferences and, with an open invitation forum, generate discussion from a broader community. These meetings provide an important opportunity to discuss NOAA’s role in ocean observing and modeling with members of the ocean science community, inform the community of current ocean initiatives, and exchange views on coastal and ocean issues.
